If you want to use the zaurus as a personal stereo, this is what you need. They are very pretty, in cool silver with the zaurus logo on the front panel. The zaurus styling is extended to the use of grey rocking buttons on the left and right sides, for volume and fast forward/reverse/play respectively. There is a large stop button in the centre and a hold switch on the left hand side for when you don't want to accidentally press a button when it's playing.
There is a standard small headphone jack in the top, and the supplied headphones where of the in-ear type with a gold-plated plug. There is a cable coming out of the bottom of the unit that plugs into your zaurus, that too is a standard small headphone jack with a gold-plated plug.
On the back of the device is a good-sized clip for attaching the unit to your bag or your shirt, and the cables are long enough to have the zaurus in your backpack and clip the remote to the shoulder strap.
All in all the build quality is good, as is the sound quality, although it does feel a little light. If you want to operate the clip when the remote is in use it's tricky because the stop button is exactly where you'd expect to place your thumb, but this is really my only complaint.
You can buy them from K.YA Gaia NonLocal Correlations on ebay, or from trisoft. If, like me, you live in the UK, the exchange rate makes this quite a good deal at the moment!
Highly recommended!
