ZGCC on-board compiler suite Rel. 2 now available Articles / Zaurus DevNet Posted by jfox on Nov 19, 2003 - 06:54 AM The second release of ZGCC, the GNU compiler suite (2.95.2) for the Zaurus ARM/Linux based PDAs, has been released at http://community.zaurus.com/projects/zgcc [1]. It will probably work on other ARM/Linux Qt based systems. It is designed to be small, yet provide a complete C/C++ and Qt GUI development system for on-board PDA program development. Release 2.0 provides new Qt development support and include files, GDB and other tools, and smaller executables and library files. A new install scheme lowers the administrative and system impact and the cramfs distribution greatly lowers the storage footprint for those systems that can mount it on SD/MMC or Ramdisk, but allows the distribution to be uncompressed to CF or Ramdisk storage if desired.
